Meet Scott

Scott Loutsch is a private lesson teacher, clinician, and performer based in the San Antonio area.

As an educator, he has taught students ranging in age from 4 to 64 on piano, horn, baritone, and especially trumpet. His students consistently earn top chair placements in their school programs and local competitions, including the 2023 Region 29 Jazz Competition, where the top five placements all studied with him. He has also worked with numerous All-State and Jazz All-State students, many of whom continue as active musicians today.

As a freelance performer, Scott has over 20 years of experience playing in a wide variety of settings, including big band jazz ensembles, jazz combos, small groups, weddings, and church services.

Scott holds a degree in Jazz Studies from Texas State University. Outside of music, he spends time with his wife and seven children.
